Mellophone
I met Mikkel, our brilliant guitarist, about ten years
ago, and we immediatly teamed up as good friends with
rockstar dreams in common. We played together in various
constellations over the years, but it wasn't until
I met Thomas at The Aarhus School of Architecture
6 years ago, that the ground for a super band was laid.
I arranged an encounter between the two and myself
a few years ago, and things just fell into place. Mellophone
is sort of retro "handheld" folk/rock. We
share a mutual love for vintage instruments, the good
melody and musicianship with guts and a heart, and
playing with these guys is just amazing. Check out
our website for more information and audio downloads.

Dooley
I've played with Dooley for about a year, and I'm
really happy about the way it progresses. We've just
taken the courageous decision to start singing in danish.
It's weird why that should be such a hard decision,
because danish is after all what we all share and understand
- but the obligation to have something to say, and
say it the right way, is so much more present and pressuring.
We're trying to develop a certain sound, with Claus'
high pitched vocals on top of atmospheric and airy
guitars, laid on a solid base of bass and drums. We
haven't made any "real" recordings yet, but below is
a short sample of what we're about. Please note that
this is only an extract of a crappy rehearsal room
recording. It's also recorded before the decision was
made to write/sing in danish :)
- Claus: vocals
- Ask Ravn Olsen: guitar
- Jakob Bjørn: guitar
- Kasper Duus: bass
- Søren Madsen: drums

TCM
TCM is my "for hire" party band with the awesome
Jan
Daggry. We're all each dedicated to more "serious" projects,
but when TCM gets together, it's all about having fun,
and giving people a nice evening. TCM is an abbreviation
of "The
Cool Motherfuckers" -
and that is, hands down, the worst band name ever,
and I refuse to use it! I'm 30 years old for cryin'
out loud! :)
We're still a great band though, so if you're looking
for someone to beef up your party with the best of
boogie, soul and pop - please let me know.
- Jan Daggry: vocals/guitar
- Henrik Pedersen: keys
- Michael Nielsen: bass
- Søren Madsen: drums
Former bands
This is an archive of few of the very talented and nice people I've had the pleasure to play with - literally.
The Megaton Turn Project
The charismatic Kim Munk was the mastermind behind
this excellent band, with whom I had many great experiences.
We won second price in a local music contest "Vi har
scenen - Har I musikken?" in 1999, and below are samples
from what we won; recording of a demo. I actually also
played the bass for a while, when Christoffer left
the band, to dedicate his time to his own band
Buring
Primitive (who I also played with a few years before).
Anders Bech has since had great success with his solo
project,
Mofus -
and Kim and Morten still play together in
Broken
beats.
- Kim Munk: guitar/vocals
- Morten Smerup: guitar
- Christoffer Mariager: bass
- Anders Bech: keys/synth
- Søren Madsen: drums

Kingsize
I had lots of fun playing with the gifted hammond player
Claus Sand, and the Dunvad brothers. Maybe the songs
weren't that ground breaking, but we gave a lot of
people a great time. Kingsize was blues rock, with
a teeny twist of seventies club rock. We never really
got to do a decent recording, but below is, nonetheless,
a sample of what it sounded like. Peter and Claus are
both still very active blues musicians, but Rasmus
has since dedicated his time to being a family man
and a succesful art director.
- Rasmus Dunvad: vocals/guitar
- Peter "planeten" Dunvad: bass
- Claus Sand: keys
- Søren Madsen: drums

Impotators
I played with these guys for about 4-5 months, after
their former drummer, the female Vivi Di Bap, left
the band. Probably some of the hardest music I ever
played, but at the time of me joining the band, the
musical interests of the other members were heading
in separate directions. Some wanted to rap, others
wanted to play trip hop, so the decision was made to
dissolve the band. Mads has great success with "Je
m'appele Mads " now,
Sofus makes jungle albums, and Morten is still one
of the finest bass players around.
- Mads Geertsen: vocals
- Sofus Forsberg: guitar
- Morten Ehlers: bass
- Søren Madsen: drums
