DubLi is an international trading portal featuring both the "normal" DubLi Marketplace for everyone to place ads for free, and the more advanced DubLi Shop, which is a customizable shop template.
The Dubli Shop comes with a downloadable software, which the shop owner can use to control just about every aspect of the shop, like economy, inventory, ads etc.
DubLi was my former employer, and as project manager / design responsible I got to work with practically all aspects of building a large scale portal – from getting my hands dirty in massive amounts of HTML and CSS, to design management and innovation.
EKKO Magasin is a leading danish printed magazine, about movies, media and education. The primary target reader base, is first and foremost teachers seeking inspiration and ideas on how to angle and implement movies and media in education.
In close cooperation with graphic designer Morten C. Bak, and editor Claus Christensen, I've migrated, planned and built the internet version of the magazine, which functions as an ever growing article archive, but also keeps EKKO Magasin in close contact with their readers and observers, by delivering fresh news, and keeping the front page a living mirror of actual political and cultural events.
“There is a ‘before’ and an ‘after’ for the movie- and media magazine EKKO – before and after we got our website. The internet cannot compete with the inventions of Gutenberg, but it is an excellent supplement. The internet gives us the option to act quickly and efficient with news coverage, comments, reviews, debate, announcements to our readers via newsletter – besides being our extensive storage of archived articles and issues.
Søren Madsen has been the technical director and developer of our website, but has also provided concepts for information architecture, content and design. The content management system is so logical and easy to use, that anyone can add, edit and manage articles and images, after a short 15 minute introduction.
I give Søren Madsen my warmest recommendations, He is a true problem solver, and is always able to provide original solutions to complex problems.”
Claus Christensen, Editor — EKKO
The danish popular music group ‘På Slaget 12’ were formed in 1984, and their three latest albums alone has sold an impressive amount of 230.000 copies, which has resulted in numerous platinum awards and a busy tour schedule.
Up until now, the band has had a new web site made for each new album release, but that made it difficult to maintain a consistent look and feel, and contact with their fan base — and all changes they wanted to make to their web sites, had to go through ever changing web masters.
So the design task was to make a website that they first of all could update and maintain themselves, and in look and feel, would present the fan and website visitor with a more matured, simplistic and “calmer” look.
The danish experimental quartet Forgetting Feet, builds bridges between music and poetry, danish and english – and beats and noisescapes.
In the center of the hybrid project is Egil Dennerline, grandson of the world reknowned COBRA painter, Asger Jorn.
Recipe for Forgetting Feet
Heat a cast iron pot and oil generously with Talking Heads anno Remain In Light
Chop up John Giorno's New York dial-a-poet projects. (David Johansson, Laurie Anderson, Lydia Lunch, Lou Reed, Richard Hell...)
Add 1 teaspoon Tom Waits' sentimentality
Spice liberally with the beat poetry and music readings
Heat to the 21st Century

Egil Dennerline is carefully documenting every step the band takes, and therefore wanted a website that he could update himself. The look and feel of the website was thought as the exhibit rooms simplistic qualities around complex content, yet reflecting the sketchy/experimental and hand held sentiment that drives the project.
Cubion is a danish management consultancy focusing on "value-creating development" in three business areas: management and strategy, evaluation and resource optimization.
Cubion wanted a website that reflected their no-nonsense and professional approach, and would be informative and boost the brand of Cubion as being the best choice for both business partners, potential clients and not least, competitors.
Cubion has a daily operations unit, and they have been managing the content on the website ever since I made the last upload.
As mentioned elsewhere on this website, I'm a happy rockstar in spe - so when Mellophone, one of my bands, talked about getting a web presence, I was more than glad to do it.
I've planned, designed and built everything from scratch, and the primary challenge, has been to make a website that, in look and feel, reflects the same no-nonsense approach as the music has itself.
The website gives our fans and interested an opportunity to explore our music, and dig into who we are, how we look and generally keep current with what is happening in our little corner of the world.
Design as well as technology, is kept modularized, so that the content and features on the site, can adapt to the current level of activities in the band.
Revolution Clothing Company is a local whole sale business. In their own words, they "... believe in the retro, second-hand, worn-out, funky, lean-back, street and jeans style".
For this particular collection, they had photographer Simon Ladefoged take the pictures - and given the beautiful pictures, the design task was primarily to provide a subtle navigation between these. The layout was made in close collaboration with RVLT's own Palle B. Rasmussen.
The navigation may not be that obvious to use (hint: use the arrows that appear once you enter collection or catalogue, minimize/maximize and move the navigation) - but for a subtle and clean website, it turned out pretty well.
This version is no longer current (read about the fashion industry and collections below)
I built this website while interning at Designit A/S - and it is the result of a great team effort.
The design task was to present a rather vivid collection in a subtle environment, while maintaining freshness through motion.
It is no longer the current version, since Munthe plus Simonsen, has been building new websites with each collection they release. Some might think that is a costly way of doing it, but in the fashion industry nothing is more important than keeping up with the latest fads and trends - and with such diverse collections as Munthe Plus Simonsen creates, it is crucial that the website is matched with, and loyal to, the look and feel of the collection.
